In reading the analysis by legislative council for prop 312 I came across this: A property owner who receives a refund would waive their rights under the Private Property Rights Protection Act, which prohibits a government from taking private property without just compensation, but the property owner could pursue other remedies provided in Arizona law, the Arizona Constitution or the United States Constitution.

Are people aware of what this means? And how did this even get put in the language of this prop? Victims who want compensation for the government not doing their jobs could then have their property taken away without just compensation???

I’ve always been one to vote in person, But now I’m seeing the importance of turning your vote in early, as long as I can drop it off myself as I’m Leary and don’t have much faith in the postal service. VOTE, VOTE, VOTE!!!!!
You have our vote Heather, your wrongful injustice will end soon.

I plan to drop our ballots off tomorrow at Bear Canyon Library. Both my husband and I voted for Heather Lappin.

It would be nice to see more of the “no panhandling” signs. They have definitely made a difference in the areas where they currently hang. Two difficult areas are Tanque Verde and Sabino Canyon Rd. and Camp Lowell and Swan. The parks are still a problem. I attended a Walk to End Alzheimer’s this past Saturday at Reid Park. Lots of homeless hanging around along with their dogs and their stuff and their trash. This is not what our children and grandchildren need to see.
