URGENT: CALL TO ACTION - Stop the Pima County Supervisors from taking away our right to be represented on Feb 7th
TCFC Members:
This is a critical moment. During the 1/24/23 Board of Supervisors meeting, Chair Grijalva voiced opposition against The Tucson Crime Free Coalition agenda item that Supervisor Christy has added to the meeting agenda several times over the last three months. As a result, Chair Grijalva drafted upcoming agenda item 15 which will create bureaucratic and legal barriers for Supervisors to add items of public interest and concern to the meeting agenda. Additionally, it will make it more difficult for the Tucson Crime Free Coalition to represent YOU, and influence addressing Crime in Pima County.
This is how you can help NOW to make sure TCFC speaks for you when some electeds are resisting addressing Crime!
Please watch this video from TCFC asking you to take 30 seconds and email the Pima County Board of Supervisors (we have provided the letter to cut and paste):

Agenda item 15, removing the rights of Supervisors to directly represent you, creating bureaucratic and legal barriers, as well as silencing freedom of speech.

Dear Supervisor,
Regarding Item #15 on the February 7, 2023 meeting agenda: UNFINISHED BUSINESS (1/24/23) Review and Update of Administrative Procedure 4-1 and Board of Supervisors Policy C 2.5:
Please vote “NO” on this item.
As your constituent, I want my Supervisor to continue to have the right and ability to add matters of public interest and concern to the meeting agenda as he or she determines merits discussion and action. The existing policy has been in place for decades, through varied Board majorities, and served the public well. There is no reason to complicate this process by adding the proposed procedures.
Sincerely,
[YOUR NAME HERE]
