The lack of participation by Pima county, Tucson City leaders is very telling. With the exception of Steve Christie, they prefer to look the other way or stick their heads in the sand. This is a clear signal to voters that a big change in leadership is needed! Pima County and Tucson could learn much from Cochise County and Pinal county when it comes to public safety and law enforcement.

The last meeting Tucson crime free coalition had the mayor I believe was listening, and Laura turnover was in the room with her staff as we shall call them standing next to her. Along with her staff, or some plain clothes lawn, Forsmann officers that could hear her, cursing every single person who stood up and spoke. She was foul mouth and fall tempered. A nasty little thing standing there, smothering and tapping her feet with that look on her face of absolute disgust, and Justine, for all the peons in the room that didn’t understand what she really was supposed to do with people, the present mayor council and county attorney, as well as the county sheriff Nanos don’t do anything except with their masters work. They are ineffective and feckless in their jobs. Especially as they are elected more than feckless they are dangerous. People are getting hurt crime is happening and on the rise and people are getting killed because of the fecklessness of these people in leader ship and I use that term loosely.

That’s a very insightful observation about speakers. It is clear that Tucson Mayor and Council, Pima County Sheriff and Pima County Attorney, in particular, are NOT willing to do what is necessary to deal head-on with the hard-work causes of our crime but instead pursue policies that perpetuate the misery of addicts and further destruction of our safety and quality of life. Some through ideology, some perhaps through laziness and willing to do only the minimum to get by. Mayor and Council control what TPD enforces and what they don’t. Message/policy comes in all cases from top-down.

Why do you have law enforcement speakers from Cochise County but not Pima County?

Will there be an update after the potluck meeting? I won’t be able to make it to this very important event.
