TCFC has taken a “NO” position on Proposition 413!
TCFC does support a pay increase for a future Mayor and Council, to attract a larger talent pool of candidates, however Proposition 413 is an overreach. The Mayor and Council have not received a pay increase since 1999, there is an absolute argument to be made that the citizens of Tucson have not been getting their money’s worth from elected officials in the City of Tucson during the same time period. If our elected’s want a pay increase, they must start doing a better job for Tucson.

Explosion of Crime over the Last 2 weeks in Tucson. TCFC leadership and members have been on the forefront of this community conversation for the last year. Until the Mayor and Council change course on failed policies around public safety and what it means to have a “safe community,” we can only expect to see more devastating situations like the ones shared below. As cooler weather comes, these types of situations will only increase as more individuals migrate to Tucson for “Fentanyl Tourism."

Whoa! I was blown away by todays newsletter regarding pay raises for city govt. The only special elections notices received in mail at central tucson house is on tucson unified school district bond prop 496. Nov 7th Never have received any brochure on any other special election ballot items??, how legal is it for them not to send a info brochure listing all the items to vote on nov 7th? Not just a select one?
Hahaha. A pay increase???? That’s funny. We need a proposition to get a refund.
Mobile showers. Will they come to my door? Supply towels? Soap? Shampoo? How about pedicures and manicures? Change of clothes also? Maybe some a razor and after shave? Hey, while you’re showering, let’s get you another free meal? And we can wash your clothes for you? Need some bedding? matches? pipes? papers? Hey, just sit here in the nice warm sun and dry off. Or maybe saunas. Sure, we have skin lotion for you. Toothbrush and toothpaste? Why not? The working citizens are paying for it. They can’t afford to buy their own, but we’ll take their tax money and buy it for you, just remember vote Dem the next election. Have at it. Help yourself. It’s regina and her band of phonies who will supply it with our money. Why not make it a full service? But will you come to my house? Don’t worry, we’ll make sure TPD does not come by. It will be a shower sanctuary zone. This is so SILLY, INFANTILE, IMMATURE and really just INSANE. Better keep it clean, because if one of these bums gets an infection, they are going to sue the city.
After WW2, the allies in Europe had to deal with hundreds of thousands of camp inmates as well as just displaced citizens. Services for the NEEDY were provided. We always provide. But we do not have a homeless problem. As GRM has indicated, we have a DRUG problem. Those displaced people after the war didn’t want handouts. They wanted to get back on their feet. We have druggies declining services because they prefer drugs. We need to take them down to the border and just inject them into those migrant camps.
This is what politicians do. They take your money and give “free” things away. Heck, after a tough softball game, just waltz over to the “free” showers.
