Thank you TCFC members for the letters to Mayor and Council! Today, The Mayor and Council voted to begin the, Equity Study, that is required before reinstating fares on what we all know as the FREE CRIME BUS!!
The budget process is playing out in-front of you and demonstrates the work that should have been done instead of Prop 414. This is one major step in the correct direction to financial stability.

The accounting equation, Assets = Liabilities + Equity, is a fundamental formula in accounting that shows the relationship between a company’s assets, liabilities, and equity. It’s the basis for the double-entry bookkeeping system and the foundation of financial statements. The equation ensures a company’s balance sheet is balanced, which indicates accurate transaction recording. If the equation doesn’t balance, it could indicate a data entry or accounting error.
It’ll be interesting to see if that’s the equity they plan on analyzing. But I wouldn’t get your hopes up too high yet because I have a feeling their idea of studying equity is what they feel is fair to the druggies and the mentally unstable homeless population. And until an audit is done nothing’s going to change that’s the reality.
